Abstract
Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RIS) are recognized as a promising technology that boosts spectral efficiency, elevates data speeds, and minimizes latency. This study explores the performance of UAV communication networks that are equipped with RIS to serve edge users, particularly considering the effects of hardware impairments within Rician-fading channels. By using the moment method to simplify the analysis, we derive the probability density function (PDF) and cumulative distribution function (CDF) for the system. Furthermore, we derive the asymptotic outage probability (OP) to gain insights into system performance at high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). Numerical results validate the analytical derivations and and illustrate the influence of the main parameter into the system.
